AgroTransilvania, an agricultural cooperative in the Transylvania region of Romania, has long been confronted with challenges in clay loam cultivation-including equipment slippage during the rainy season and difficult startup in winter-which have impeded rye cultivation across its 5,000-hectare farmland. In 2023, the cooperative introduced 15 units of Woye Heavy Industry's 1LY (SX)-525 Disc Plow (compatible with tractors rated at 80–120 HP), thereby revolutionizing its agricultural production operations.
Customized to address the local soil characteristics and climatic conditions, the equipment incorporates three key optimizations:
1.The plow blades are fabricated from high-strength wear-resistant alloy steel with a Rockwell Hardness (HRC) of 58–62, reducing soil penetration resistance by 30% and exhibiting no significant wear despite 120 hours of continuous operation;
2.The hydraulic system enables stepless adjustment of the plow blade angle within 30 seconds, accommodating soil hardness ranging from 15 to 35 kg/cm².

3.The winter anti-freeze package is equipped with a preheating device and an insulated protective cover, ensuring a 98% success rate for first-attempt startup in environments as low as -15℃.

Radu Popa, Agricultural Machinery Director of the cooperative, stated: "Previously, 3,000 hectares of deep plowing required 25 days to complete; now, the same task can be finished in 18 days. The plowing depth remains stable at 28 cm, and the soil fragmentation rate exceeds 85%. Additionally, the rye germination rate has increased from 72% to 89%, and the per-mu yield (1 mu ≈ 0.067 hectares) rose by 15% in 2024."
