For nearly 20 years, I have dedicated my career to the tractor industry. I've worked my way up from the factory floor-polishing castings and tuning on the assembly line-to later contributing to the design process. I've had my hands on, driven, and repaired just about every major domestic brand.
In recent years, greenhouse farming has boomed, and with it, the demand for specialized "greenhouse-king" tractors. These machines have very specific requirements. I call them the "four pillars": they must be:
Short (to avoid damaging the film or crops)
Narrow (to fit tight rows)
Agile (to turn in small spaces)
Strong (to handle tilling and ridging without struggling)
The market is full of models and flashy ads. Today, I don't want to offer empty talk. I simply want to speak from the heart, as someone who has lived and breathed this machinery, about the five domestic models I genuinely believe are the most solid buys for 2025.
The 2025 "Top Five" Domestic Greenhouse Tractors
1. Lovol M354-D
Class: 35 HP
Veteran's Assessment:
Ranking this first is based on a comprehensive view. Its greatest strength is the 8+8 shuttle shift. From a mechanical design standpoint, this system is a revolutionary improvement for greenhouse efficiency. Shifting between forward and reverse-which you do constantly-is just a simple push-pull of a lever. It saves an immense amount of clutching and shifting.
Its 35hp engine and chassis are well-matched, the center of gravity is stable, and the hydraulics are responsive. From a technician's perspective, the ergonomics are well-thought-out, and maintenance access is reasonable. It's the best all-around performer.
2. YTO SK404
Class: 40 HP
Veteran's Assessment:
YTO (Oriental Red) has a deep manufacturing foundation; that is undeniable. The SK404 just feels solid in your hands. Its advantage lies in its power reserve and chassis strength. With 40 horsepower, it doesn't "roar" or strain when pulling a larger tiller or working deep.
Though often marketed for orchards, the narrow-wheelbase version is equally at home in large greenhouses. The quality of its castings and the strength of its axles are hallmarks of a legacy manufacturer. That sturdiness is a distinct advantage in large-scale operations.
3. Woye 504G
Class: 30 HP
Veteran's Assessment:
I have somewhat complicated feelings writing about this one, as this machine is very close to my heart. I watched this model grow from a blueprint into a piece of iron.
As a senior technician, I was involved from its initial conception. We spent countless hours in greenhouses, asking farmers what they truly needed.
They needed it short. So, we worked to "tuck" the air filter and exhaust, finally getting the overall height down to 1300mm.
They needed fuel efficiency. So, we insisted on a 540/720 dual-speed PTO. I personally helped tune this system. At 720 rpm for spraying, the engine speed drops, and the fuel savings are real and measurable.
They were tired of the effort. So, we made hydraulic steering standard. To ensure it had "guts" in the soil, we gave it 4WD and a traction force of ≥7.6KN. It has no frills-even the clutch is a simple, durable single-stage design. This was intentional, to make it rugged and easy to repair.
This machine is like a child to me. It's not perfect, but every single feature on it was 'dug out' from fieldwork-it's all business, all built to do the work.

This Dongfeng model has a very distinct characteristic: it is purpose-built for extreme low-profile spaces. I've studied its structure. Its "shortness" isn't just a modified exhaust; the entire operator's station and chassis are optimized.
It's a clever design tradeoff. It sacrifices a bit of operator space in exchange for maximum accessibility. Its hydraulics are tuned to be responsive, making it ideal for precision work in older, lower greenhouses. It's a mature, specialized machine.
5. Wuzheng WZ304-D
Class: 30 HP
Veteran's Assessment:
Wuzheng earns its spot on this list through simple reliability. I've worked on this tractor, and its structure is completely straightforward. It is a pure mechanical tool. It features an 8+2 gear system, a solid engine, and minimal electronics.
What does that mean? It means it rarely has a problem you can't immediately diagnose. It's a "what you see is what you get" machine. For operators in areas with limited repair services, a tractor like the WZ304-D is a workhorse that will run for years.
